Cambodian Officials Join Media Capacity Building Training in Beijing

Beijing: A delegation of 25 officials from the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia has embarked on a 14-day training programme on media capacity building in Beijing, People's Republic of China. The training session will commence on Aug. 28 and conclude on Sept. 10.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the 'Media Capacity Building Training for Cambodia' programme is designed to enhance participants' professional knowledge and practical skills through a combination of workshops, lectures, field visits, and cultural exchanges. The programme also provides Cambodian officials with a deeper understanding of China's development concepts, media industry practices, and innovative approaches in communication, particularly strengthening mutual learning and cooperation between Cambodia and China in the field of information.

The general modules cover topics such as China's national profile, cultural introduction, and the development of the global digital cultural industry. The programme focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence on public opinion ecosystems, strategies for cross-cultural communication, digital transformation of Chinese media, international perspectives on news reporting, media convergence, and emerging future trends.

Throughout the training programme, participants will engage in interactive sessions under the 'on-site visits + Q and A + discussions' format, ensuring practical, in-depth, and comprehensive learning. Additionally, the programme features study tours in Beijing and Guilin, including visits to major Chinese media institutions such as China Education Television (CETV), iFlytek, China Media Museum, and China Media Group (CMG). These visits aim to provide participants with direct exposure to China's advanced media reporting methods, technological innovations, and international communication strategies.

The training programme is jointly organised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), and the Centre for Education and Training of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
