Outgoing UNESCO Representative to Share Cambodia’s Best Practices Globally

Phnom penh: Outgoing UNESCO Representative H.E. Sardar Umar Alam has expressed UNESCO's pride in its partnership with Cambodia and pledged to share the Kingdom's best practices in the education and culture sectors with other countries.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his farewell visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon, H.E. Sardar Umar Alam highlighted the fruitful outcomes of cooperation between UNESCO and Cambodia, describing their collaboration as a special partnership.

He also briefed Samdech Thipadei on ongoing cooperation projects in the areas of education, culture, environment, and water resources, while reaffirming UNESCO's readiness to continue providing technical assistance to support Cambodia's socio-economic development.

In response, Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his deep appreciation for UNESCO's longstanding partnership with Cambodia and commended the significant benefits derived from its support, which have greatly contributed to the Kingdom's progress.

Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed the Royal Government's commitment to further strengthen this cooperation and extended his best wishes for success to H.E. Sardar Umar Alam in his new mission.
