Phnom penh: Over 84 percent of students who took the Grade 12 national examinations in late August have successfully passed, as revealed by a recent press release from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS). A total of 122,473 students out of those who sat for the exams on August 28-29, 2025, achieved passing grades in their baccalaureate exams.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the breakdown of grades among the successful candidates was also provided. A total of 3,003 students earned Grade A; 9,901 received Grade B; 28,801 were awarded Grade C; 45,859 achieved Grade D; and 34,909 obtained Grade E. The MoEYS has stated that the official results will be made available tomorrow at all examination centers across the nation.
In a comparison to the previous year, the overall success rate has seen an increase from 79 percent in 2024. During that year, the distribution of grades among students was as follows: 1,673 students achieved Grade A; 6,964 received Grade B; 18,303 earned Grade C; 34,246 obtained Grade D; and 37,269 were awarded Grade E. The national Grade 12 examination remains a vital step for high school graduates aiming to pursue university education.
