Phnom penh: Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak recently welcomed a delegation from the Airavata Elephant Foundation, led by its Honorary Vice President H.E. Mrs. Men Nearyvudthy, at the ministry in Phnom Penh. The meeting, held on August 7, centered around wildlife conservation efforts and the promotion of ecotourism in the Rattanakiri region.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, the Minister expressed his support for the foundation's activities and their focus on wildlife conservation. The discussions also included exchanging ideas and exploring cooperative efforts to enhance ecotourism by conserving local elephant populations in Rattanakiri.
H.E. Mrs. Men Nearyvudthy shared insights into how the association supports both local and international tourists who visit the elephants and tourist attractions in the province. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of conservation while promoting tourism in the area.
